Stainless steel woks are kitchen utensils primarily made from stainless steel. Due to properties such as high-temperature resistance, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance, stainless steel is widely used in the manufacture of cookware like woks and pressure cookers. These woks typically consist of three layers: an inner layer, a middle layer, and an outer layer. The inner layer generally utilizes 316L or SUS304 stainless steel; both grades meet certification standards for food-contact materials and offer a high level of safety. The middle layer may be made of aluminum alloy or pure copper-metals chosen for their excellent thermal conductivity, which facilitates even heating-while the outer layer consists of 308 or SUS430 stainless steel. Some manufacturers insert special metal or ceramic blocks between these layers to increase the heat capacity of the base, thereby improving the wok's thermal responsiveness and heat distribution uniformity.
